Kurt von Kusel is a beautiful 2 year old red and black working line German Shepherd.  He is an exceptional dog who exemplifies the true qualities of the breed – intelligence, loyalty, athleticism, and self-confidence.  As a confident dog, his owner should have the proper German Shepherd experience with a calmly assertive confidence that exceeds his.  He is already well trained, knows many commands and is well behaved but continued training is a must.  He responds best to positive reinforcement training methods, rather than dominance, and one where a structured set of rules is consistently reinforced.  One of his most favorite past times is playing fetch.  He is a master and will drop the ball (red ones only, please) and wait for the next throw.  He’s sociable, enjoys affection and has a bright personality.  A perfect passenger, he jumped right into the car and rode quietly.  He has great leash manners.  In playgroup, he met both male and female dogs well and was very sociable.  Another plus – he’s housebroken and quiet and well behaved in the home.  An adult only, quiet and calm home would suit him best. Once you develop a relationship with Kurt, one based on mutual trust and respect, a strong and wonderful bond will form.  He will be your everlasting best buddy, a devoted and faithful companion. No cats or small dogs.
